Drinks
Macchiato = 1oz espresso, 2tsp steam/foam milk
Cortado = 2oz espresso, 2oz steamed milk
Cappuccino = 2oz espresso, 4oz steamed milk
Latte = 2oz espresso, 6oz steamed milk
Espresso Pull using Breville machine or similar
Double shot (2oz) = 18 grams beans, fine ground, hard tamp, extracted in about 25 seconds
Pourover for Hario V60 or Kalita Wave
Input: Fresh medium fine ground coffee, almost boiling soft water
Brew ratio: 60:1
60g coffee : 1L water
30g coffee : 500mL water — used in steps below
24g coffee : 400mL water
18g coffee : 300mL water
Steps:
Rinse paper filter with hot water
Add 30g of coffee grounds
0:00 - 0:00 Time start
0:00 - 0:20 Add 60g of bloom water slowly, then swirl or spoon to wet all grounds
0:20 - 0:45 Let drip or bloom
0:45 - 1:15 Add 240g of water, medium flow pour
1:15 - 1:45 Add 200g of water, very slow flow pour
1:45 - 2:30 Swirl or spoon a couple times while drains
2:30 - 3:30 Allow to fully drain
Output: 2 cups of tasty coffee, cheers!
